Most of what we do arrives in writing. That is deliberate — a family that disagrees can at least start from the same document.
One current, accurate record of your parent’s medications, providers, history and directives — professionally maintained, held by us, and yours to keep.
After every appointment we attend, a written account reaches you before the day is out. What was discussed, what changed, what was not resolved, and what happens next.
An image of the real artefact. §08: “Showing the artefact is worth more than describing it, and this is the page where a wavering enquirer converts.”
A scheduled call at a fixed time each month, held whether or not anything has happened. Siblings may join. Followed by a written summary.
When a real decision arrives — an operation at 84, a move, a change in the goals of care — the options are laid out in writing beforehand and a nurse who has been at every appointment is in the room.
Redacted. Same treatment as the Evening Letter specimen.
Encompass RN provides registered-nurse care navigation and advocacy. We coordinate and organise the care your parent’s physicians direct; we prepare questions, attend appointments, take organised notes, maintain the record, and explain what was said within the scope of a registered nurse.
We do not provide hands-on nursing care, administer medication, perform treatments, or provide home health services. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or advise on treatment. We do not replace any physician or licensed provider.
There is no office to come to. We meet at your parent’s kitchen table, in the cardiologist’s waiting room, and on the ward — which is where the work actually is.
This practice accepts [twelve] families.
If that number is not yet reached, an introduction is a twenty-minute call — not a consultation, and not a sales conversation. Its only purpose is to establish whether this is the right thing for your family.
